Samantha came onboard Delos Labs as a Research Analyst after graduating from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health where she pursued a degree in Environmental Health Sciences and honed her knowledge of the built environment and green infrastructure. As part of her degree’s practicum, Samantha examined novel approaches to combating methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in a microbiology laboratory in Xiamen, China.
Prior to her master’s studies, Samantha worked in a research capacity conducting experiments on attitudes and perceived social interactions at City University Hong Kong. Previously, she worked as an Assistant Media Manager for an organic foods start-up where she communicated the science behind proprietary methods, and how food interacts with our bodies, to a wide range of audiences from doctors to bankers to children. Samantha earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Vassar College where she explored how our behavior and lifestyle choices affect both mental and physical health.
Growing up in South East Asia, Samantha developed a keen passion for environmental science and sustainable development as she witnessed cities and communities build up from the ground. She joined the Labs team with the opening of the Well Living Lab to develop a better understanding of the complex relationship between the built environment and human health.
