Tactical Intelligence to Transform Building Design and Construction

Over 975 building owners, architects, interior designers, and contractors from 45 countries were surveyed as part of Dodge Data & Analytics building impact on health research study.

One key finding from the study showed that the primary reason building owners are incorporating healthy features in their buildings is to improve employee / tenet satisfaction. Architects, interior designers, and contractors, however, all underestimated how important this goal was to owners.

The study also examined preference and use of specific healthy building features. Currently, daylighting is the top strategy used to enhance the health of occupants – followed by low VOC products, access to outdoor views, and mechanical ventilation. In the next five years, these building professionals reported that they are most likely to implement features that enhance air quality, thermal comfort, and lighting.
