Chi Lam’s primary role is as the Director of Technology at the Well Living Lab. Chi has over 20 years of technology and leadership experience and is passionate about how technology plays a key role as a strategic enabler for any business. At the Well Living Lab, Chi works with the leadership team to determine overall IT strategies, tasks and prioritization and provides direction to IT staff to ensure that goals and objectives and met. He also focuses on bringing cutting-edge technology to the lab in support of ongoing research on the human health and wellness effects of indoor environmental factors.
Before joining Delos, Chi worked as a Unit Head in Information Technology at Mayo Clinic. He led the Cloud Planning Services team in creating the enterprise Cloud Computing platform at Mayo IT to accelerate its ability to deliver capabilities and enable innovation for Mayo’s business. Chi was also responsible for the establishment of the new Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) Architecture and Planning team at Mayo Clinic. In that role, he was one of the co-chairs that created and led the I&O Architecture Board.
Prior to Mayo Clinic, Chi worked at IBM and held various software development and management leadership positions throughout the years. During that time, one of the key roles that he held was a 2-year assignment in Beijing, China as a Senior Manager for the IBM’s Tivoli product. He led an organization that consisted of over 100 software engineers to drive better product quality through mature and automated testing methodology.
Chi earned his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
