Crystal began her legal career as an associate in the litigation department of the New York-based firm Davis Polk & Wardwell, LLC, where she represented corporate clients on a diverse range of matters including breach of contract claims, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations and compliance, shareholder litigation, and tax litigation. After her time at Davis Polk, Crystal worked in- house at the Vera Institute of Justice, where she served as a Rockefeller Brothers Fund fellow in non-profit law and worked closely with the legal team to help address the legal and organizational issues confronted by the institute and its many departments and projects.  Crystal also served as a federal law clerk in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.  Crystal graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor of arts in public policy and international relations and earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School.  She is admitted to practice in New York, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
