James is a behavioral research scientist with Delos Labs. He studies the interrelationships between people and their physical surroundings and, specifically, the physical and psychosocial aspects of workplaces and leisure behavior in relation to physical settings. James assists Delos Labs in the preparation of project proposals, reports, journal manuscripts, and presentations for professional meetings. Within Delos, James provides behavioral science consulting to all departments.
James is an expert in environmental and applied social psychology. He specializes in attention, perception-action, organizational behavior, program evaluation, and research methodology. He has published seven peer-reviewed research studies in developmental, health, and learning science journals, delivered over 20 presentations at regional, national, and international conferences, and secured nearly $600,000 in research funding.
He holds a Doctorate and Masters in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, Masters in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, and Bachelors in Special Education from Vanderbilt University. James completed his postdoctoral training in Psychology at the University of California – Los Angeles.
