Mo El Husseiny is Managing Partner of Ventura Capital, an investment company focused on pre-IPO consumer and cybersecurity technology opportunities. Ventura has invested in excess of $800m in technology companies such as Delos, Xiaomi, Spotify, Coursera, Alibaba, Twitter, Uber, Lyft, AUTO1, Didi, C8 Technologies, Lookout, The Mobility House, Newstead Capital and Owlstone Medical. Mo serves as Board Director of various of the above.
Mo worked eight years at Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi Sovereign Wealth Fund, executing over $15 billion of investments from the M&A department, serving as Director of Special Projects, spending a year as Chief of Staff to the COO, and ending his service as Vice President responsible for Group Strategy. Mo served as executive board member of Abu Dhabi’s Leadership Development Center, a corporate leadership joint-venture with General Electric.
Mo previously worked at Goldman Sachs, within the Industrials and Natural Resources Division (IBD) in London.
In 2014 Mo was appointed as a committee member of the Finance Council in Brussels, a committee of parliamentarians subordinated to the European Parliamentary Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs aimed at progressing and integrating European Banking and Finance Policy. He holds this position as a representative of the private sector.
Mo was inducted as Honorary Member of the Royal Sailing Club of Spain. Mo is a Trustee of the National Center of the Disabled. He is a personal supporter of three other European cultural institutions.
In 2017 Mo appeared in the documentary Regular Crisis, a film focusing on the repercussions of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis alongside notable business leaders such as Chairman of Daimler, General Secretary of OECD, Chairman of Forbes Media.
