Veronika is a building science researcher. At Delos, she works on research and engineering projects aiming to understand impact of indoor environmental quality on occupants’ behavior, satisfaction, performance, health and well-being. She also provides internal consulting within the company in the area of indoor built environment.
Veronika specializes in indoor air quality, thermal comfort, building ventilation and occupants’ comfort. Her work has been published in several conference proceedings, technical magazines and peer-reviewed scientific journals. She has been an active reviewer at Building and Environment, Energy and Buildings and International Journal of Ventilation.
Veronika holds a Doctorate degree in Civil Engineering with more specification on theory and environmental technology of buildings. Her doctoral research project was conducted in collaboration with the International Centre for Indoor Environment and Energy of the Technical University of Denmark and the Department of Building Services of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. In 2016, Veronika earned the title “the best PhD candidate of the year” in civil engineering and architecture from the Junior Chamber International. Prior to joining Delos, Veronika was working as a research assistant at the Center for the Built Environment of UC Berkeley.
