Doctor Nicholas F. Larusso Joins the Delos Advisory Board

LaRusso, Director of the Center for Innovation at Mayo Clinic, has joined its Advisory Board. Dr. LaRusso joins a distinguished panel of Delos advisors including Dr. Deepak Chopra, world renowned health and wellness expert; the Honorable Dick Gephardt, former House of Representatives Majority Leader; Senator Mel Martinez, R-Fla. and former Senator and HUD Secretary; the Honorable Terry McAuliffe, former Chairman of Bill Clinton’s Presidential Campaign and Former DNC Chairman; Jason McLennan, world renowned sustainable building expert; Dr. Michael Roizen, Chief Wellness Officer at Cleveland Clinic; and Dolly Lenz, Vice Chairman of Prudential Douglas Elliman.
As one of the world’s foremost leaders in medicine, Mayo Clinic opened a Center for Innovation in 2008. Dr. LaRusso has led this center since its inception. It is the nation’s largest medical innovation center and the first to be integrated into a world-class medical practice setting. Mayo’s Center for Innovation focuses on clinical practice redesign, connected care, community health transformation, future works and healthy aging. The Center employs full-time designers to work alongside medical professionals to move ideas quickly and dynamically through the iteration, prototyping and test phases.

A member of the American Association of Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians, Dr. LaRusso has received Distinguished Achievement Awards from the Mayo Alumni Association and both the AGA and the AASLD, and the Distinguished Mentor award from the AGA. He is currently president of the AGA Research Foundation.
